Mere PR is celebrating one of its longest and fondest client relationships – six years with leading regional housebuilder, Jones Homes.
One of the UK’s leading developers of quality new homes, Jones Homes has an enviable reputation for building homes of character in highly desirable locations. Well established in the North West, the housebuilder appointed Mere PR to help support its new West Yorkshire office with a proactive media relations campaign to raise the profile of its prestigious developments across the Yorkshire region.
With residential property and construction PR being an area of particular expertise for Mere PR, we were only too happy to help out and have been a valued part of the team ever since. They say time flies when you’re having fun, so here’s to the next six years!

Bentley Continental GT launches in Knutsford
More than 150 prestige vehicle enthusiasts and a raft of regional media celebrated the launch of the new Bentley Continental GT at Bentley Manchester in Knutsford.
The dealership is one of the first in the UK to take delivery of the hotly anticipated new vehicle meaning that Cheshire customers will be among the first in Britain to get behind the wheel for a test drive. Mere PR was there to manage interest from the regional media and ensure all local contacts were treated to an exclusive preview of the new vehicle and had access to images from the launch party.
The reveal comes in the run-up to the forthcoming launch of the new McLaren roadcar which joins the Bentley Manchester and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manchester family this spring when it takes residency at a new state-of-the-art showroom at Canute Place in the heart of Knutsford. Mere PR will continue to work closely with Jon and the team to manage media interest during the launch campaign.

Setting new standards for luxury in Cheshire
There was no time for relaxation when the Mere PR team landed the brief to stage a star-studded launch event to unveil the new five star health club and spa at The Mere.
The new £5.5 million health club and spa has set new standards for luxury in the North West. Boasting state-of-the-art fitness and wellness facilities including a vitality pool, hydrotherapy area and the largest pool in Cheshire, the spa also features seven luxurious treatment rooms and a contemporary spa lounge serving fresh produce from across the local region.
More than 250 people attended the official opening mingling with sporting heroes including Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton and Viv Anderson plus radio presenters, TV personalities and famous faces.

Bonjour! Mere PR helps France Meet the Media
When ATOUT FRANCE (the French Tourism Development Agency in the UK) asked us to help with its annual ‘France Meets the Media’ event for 2011, we were delighted to say ‘oui’.
One of the most visited countries in the world, France boasts a wealth of attractions for visitors of all ages. Each year, the country’s 30 regional press officers come to the UK for a week-long event, travelling to meet a variety of journalists across the UK and Ireland.
Mere PR is tasked with the media liaison around the Manchester and Liverpool events which take place at lunchtime in Liverpool and early evening in Manchester on Monday 28 February.

Metrolink kicks off high profile partnership with the Manchester FA
With the January transfer window now closed, football fans across Greater Manchester will be pleased to hear about a new signing that will suit both the reds and the blues!
Helping football fans and families get on the move across the region, Metrolink has teamed up with the Manchester FA in a two year partnership that sees Metrolink unveiled as the Manchester FA’s Official Travel Partner.
With a hat trick of initiatives to inspire and encourage young footballers in place for launch across the year, the partnership will predominantly focus on developing grassroots football and improving coaching and training facilities for footballing communities across the region.
The first Metrolink Team of the Month award will be presented this Wednesday. With a bit of luck, we might just discover the next Beckham, Giggs or Rooney.

Love at 30,000 feet
Love was certainly in the air for Mere PR and client bmibaby yesterday as the team exploited a story that made the most of the romantic news agenda on Valentine’s Day.
Spotting the opportunity for a topical story about a real life high-flying couple who are captain and first officer with the low cost airline, Mere PR drafted a tonge-in-cheek release highlighting the association with Matt Lucas and David Walliams comedy characters in the TV series Come Fly with Me and successfully generated coverage in a raft of national and regional media.

Sensational new CityStore opens on Market Street
Manchester City has opened the doors to its state-of-the-art new CityStore on Market Street. Officially the UK’s most sophisticated football retail store, the concept has been brought to life by Mere PR client, Kitbag, and opened with a hat trick of celebratory events including a star-studded VIP evening, where Shaun Wright-Phillips and Micah Richards took to the decks for a DJ set, followed by an official opening by manager Mancini and a fashion show and weekend of family fun.
Mere PR handled all media liaison for the opening and a raft of coverage was secured across national and regional media.
