Two new account wins for Mere PR
Mere PR can announce two new accounts. We have been appointed by leading wipes manufacturer Nice-Pak International to implement a national trade and consumer media relations campaign and series of creative brand building initiatives for its two own brands, Halo and Sani+Hands.
We have also been tasked with raising the profile of bespoke personal tailoring service, Berkley Bowen, driving awareness with key target audiences in Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool and Merseyside and supporting the brand as it expands across the UK.
Two out of two competitive pitches is a great result for the team and a strong start to the year. We’re delighted!

A bigger ‘Rovers’ return with Metrolink
Mere PR organised for Coronation Street cast members Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) to launch Metrolink’s 2010 season ticket campaign.
The girls took time out from the cobbles to promote the great savings that can be made with each of Metrolink’s four season tickets – weekly, four weekly, quarterly and annual.
Brooke Vincent and Helen Flanagan commented: “Coronation Street, which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary is an integral part of Manchester’s history. The fact that a tram can be seen passing by in the opening credits of every episode shows just how much the new Metrolink system has become a symbol of modern Manchester.”

Wedding celebrity spot
Not content with celebrating her wedding and birthday on the same day, our lovely Gemma also bagged the best celebrity spot of the week having her pic taken with the fabulous Gordon Ramsay as he jetted in to Ireland to check up on his signature restaurant at the Ritz Carlton hotel, Powerscourt, County Wicklow!

Training for future generations of building professionals
The Durapipe UK team is back from London after hosting a roundtable debate on behalf of the plastic pipework manufacturer. Passionate about training the next generation of building services professionals, Durapipe UK wants to help influence an improvement in the training provided to young people trying to get into the industry. Mere PR organised for leading figures from training bodies, trade associations and employers within the industry to get together and discuss the issues with many positive messages and actions coming out of the meeting. Thoughts from the day will be hitting trade titles in the new year….
Putting the fun into fundraising
Friday night was party night (all in aid of a good cause of course!) when the Mere PR team supported one of its longest-standing clients by taking a table at the famous Manchester ball which was held at the Hilton Hotel. All money raised was donated to The Together Trust, a really worthy cause supporting young people across Greater Manchester and the North of England. www.togethertrust.org.uk. Friday 13th was lucky for some – we won a giant teddy bear in the raffle.
